How long have you worked here?
It’s been 3 years now. I started off covering a maternity leave in December 2016, and was kept on as a permanent member of the design team.
What inspires your designs?
I enjoy finding unexpected colours and textures in nature: rust on a door, lichen on a tree. I love exploring and have many keepsakes from my travels. I love rocks and minerals.
What excites you most about working here?
There’s always a new challenge. I love that weaving is on site and we can see our designs and ideas come to life at the loom. Even when the pressure’s on, it’s still fun!
What’s your favourite Alex Begg product?
I’m naturally a scarf person. It’s a practical garment and I’m always cold! My Granny had an amazing scarf collection that I’ve inherited and am adding to. It’s hard not to working here!
