The first Alex Begg shawls were hand-loomed in 1866 on the banks of the River Clyde and inspired by Scotland’s beautiful bodies of water, which remain an inspiration today. Since then, the company has grown but its ethos remains the same.

Alex Begg moves his business further South, opening a mill in Ayr, where it remains to this day.
