The first Alex Begg shawls were hand-loomed in 1866 on the banks of the River Clyde and inspired by Scotland’s beautiful bodies of water, which remain an inspiration today. Since then, the company has grown but its ethos remains the same.

Alex Begg develops their iconic lightweight Wispy Design. Their lightest cashmere scarf contains a staggering 8km of gossamer-fine yarn sourced from Mongolia.
